Executive management at The Integr8 Group, South Africa’s largest privately owned national BEE ICT network integration and infrastructure management specialist, has appointed Shaun May as the company’s head of national sales reporting to Integr8 partner and Sales Director Bennie Strydom.

May recently joined the managed ICT services company having moved on from a rewarding and successful role as Sales Director at HP Enterprise Services.

One of May’s primary objectives, as head of domestic and international sales, is to engage on the corporatisation of the sales engagement process already well underway in the company.

This will help corporate initiatives take root and bolster growth of the Integr8 Group’s client base across Southern Africa and the rest of the continent.

“The Integr8 Group, as a company that was founded and based in Africa, has always grown organically. To this end we focus on Africa on a case-by-case basis and where it makes sense for us and our clients,” says May.

To date the Integr8 Group has established presence in several countries across the continent, including Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Nigeria and Zimbabwe.

May is in the process of reviewing and refreshing existing marketing and sales strategies in order to better engage with the company’s client base and more aggressively penetrate the enterprise sector.

“There is most certainly a growing awareness of- and interest in the role of managed ICT services within the enterprise. As a progressive technology-focused company, the Integr8 Group continues to champion the role of technology, of aspects such as cloud-based services and virtualization, to strengthen businesses within both developed and developing economies. There is a high demand for well-scaled, reliable and well experienced ICT partner and the Integr8 Group is ideally positioned, given its near decade of proven capability,” May adds.

Bennie Strydom, Sales Director at the Integr8 Group, says he is very pleased to have May at the company and believes his proven track record and level of experience, knowledge and business acumen will prove to be significant and invaluable assets – for May’s own career development and the role he will play within the company.

“We welcome the appointment of Shaun and know that he will compliment our growth strategy.  We believe that he is more than equal to the challenge and degree of responsibility associated with this role. His eagerness to add value to clients through impeccable service bodes well for our public sector and Africa strategy,” says Strydom.
