Integr8 IT wins prestigious Symantec Backup Exec award

MicroZone PR – 04 June 2009 – Integr8 IT, South Africa’s largest privately owned national BEE ICT network integration and infrastructure management specialist, recently received an award from its industry partner and global vendor Symantec Corporation, for securing the biggest deal, involving both volume and revenue, with Symantec Data Protection solutions.

The renowned managed ICT services provider is a newly registered reseller member of the Symantec Partner Program, which means it has access to the latest technology sourced from the vendor, can participate in joint training and acquire in-depth product knowledge to add value to its client base.

As such Integr8 IT was eligible for participation in an incentive programme/ competition initiated by Symantec Corporation to identify and reward the single biggest deal involving Symantec Backup Exec solutions over their fourth quarter.

The rules of the competition stipulated that Symantec Corporation would reward the top five sales people who bring in the highest revenue for Backup Exec and Backup Exec System Recovery Solutions per transaction.

“Integr8 IT came first in the competition and secured the biggest Backup Exec deal for our fourth quarter,” said Chad Cleevely, Distribution and Small Business Manager, South Africa, Symantec Corporation. “Integr8 IT continues to show a real commitment and drive to extend Symantec’s reach into the market and Backup Exec represents a substantial part of our overall business in Africa.”

The companies are working closely with each other to ensure staff are technically and sales certified on Symantec products.
