Integr8 IT stands on global stage

[ Johannesburg, 3 November 2008 ] –
Integr8 IT, South Africa’s largest privately owned national BEE ICT network integration and infrastructure management specialist, is among a list of top 10 Africa-based businesses that has been identified for the prestigious Legatum Pioneers of Prosperity Award.
The company received confirmation of its status from Legatum representatives who are representing a privately-owned international investment group funded by a Dubai-based fund and run out of New York.
According to the latest available statistics, over 1 400 companies from 10 countries on the African continent were identified, with Integr8 IT now appearing in the top 10 finalists.
The process is to establish, identify and acknowledge the achievement of companies that champion the cause of entrenched entrepreneurship in Africa and related socio-economic development.
Rob Sussman, Joint-CEO of The Integr8 Group, will be representing the company in Kigali, Rwanda on 19 November 2008.
A documentary on Integr8 IT with a focus on entrepreneurship in Africa is already underway.

Rob Sussman, Joint-CEO of The Integr8 Group.
Integr8 IT is an established ICT managed service provider within the burgeoning ICT managed service space and continues to receive industry-wide recognition for its intellectual capital, skills acumen and success in strategic infrastructure management and advancement of next-generation technologies.
“We are incredibly proud to have been singled out from such a broad and extensive base of corporations across the continent,” comments Sussman.
“Our strategy in Africa continues to bear fruit and we are happy to announce that our footprint has been expanded. Aside from a question of timing, our view of the potential for business in Africa is based on the fact that it remains a vastly untapped resource, but one in which key market segments such as digital lifestyle and information, communication technology is growing at a phenomenal rate. The end-user or technology consumer base in many regions is huge and we are positioned to meet infrastructure requirements for emerging businesses,” he adds.
Sussman refers to recent media coverage and the discussion as to the relevance of entrepreneurship in helping to shape the continent going forward and remind people that there is something more to hope for, something that can be a credible catalyst for lasting change.
“In one article, the question was raised as to whether entrepreneurship represents the hope for a better tomorrow for all peoples in Africa,” he says. “At the Integr8 Group we believe, unequivocally, that this is indeed the vehicle for meaningful socio-economic transformation. Everyday we hear of innovation taking root in commerce and related spin-off benefits such as job creation, skills development and transfer, income generation, economic improvement, and more. This is not an overnight process – we all know this – but, it is encouraging to see business advance and help renew hope.”
